Museum Accessibility
Parking & Arrival
Accessible parking is available near our main entrance. If you need extra time or space to get in and out of a vehicle, you are welcome to use these spaces.
The path from the parking area to the entrance is level and firm. If you need help when you arrive, please call us and a staff member or volunteer will do their best to assist you.
Entrances, Doors & Restrooms
Our main entrance is ground-level with no steps. Doors are standard width. Staff can help with doors if needed.
Our family restroom is accessible and step-free. If you need to know details about grab bars, door width, or clear floor space, please contact us and we will be happy to describe the layout.
Galleries, Exhibits & Gift Shop
Most public areas of the museum are on one level or are reached by level routes. Aisles are kept as wide and clear as we can for mobility devices, walkers, and strollers.
Some historic spaces may be narrow or have uneven floors. If an area is not fully accessible, staff can share photos, stories, or objects in an alternate way so you can still enjoy the content. Our gift shop is also arranged to keep paths as open as possible.

Available During Open Hours
Visitors may use their own mobility devices, canes, walkers, or other assistive devices. We also have a wheelchair and/or walker available if needed.
Personal care attendants are welcome to accompany visitors who need support. If you would like free admission for a personal care attendant, please contact us in advance so we can explain our policy.
Service Animals
Available During Open Hours
Service animals that are trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability are welcome in the museum. We may ask that service animals stay with their handler and remain on leash or harness when possible.
